To commemorate his achievements, contributions to the nation, We celebrate his birth anniversary as “Ambedkar Jayanthi”. Ambedkar received a degree in law and political science and after that, he formed a party of his own and named it the Independent Labor Party, which later became the All India Scheduled Caste Federation.

These efforts brought awareness, consciousness among Dalits to fight against caste discrimination. In 1930, he launched a movement for Dalit rights and demanded entry in the temple and the usage of public properties equally for all.
