Republic Day 2022 (January 26th): Republic Day is celebrated on January 26 every year in India, since 1950, on which the Constitution of India came into existence. India will be celebrating its 72nd Republic Day this year. Our India was under British rule for over 200 years and became independent from British rule by making Indian independence moment. India became independent on August 14, 1947, but still does not have a permanent constitution and Indian laws were based on a moderate of the British established, Government of India Act 1935.
