Long Essay on Discipline for Students and Children

Essay on Discipline for Students and Children in English: Discipline is doing what you know needs to be done even if you don’t want to do it. Discipline is the practice of making oneself or others obey rules. Discipline is the quality of being able to perform work consistently by obeying particular rules and regulations. Discipline is the key to success. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. Without a passion for discipline, the most beautiful dreams have zero value. The more disciplined becomes the easier life.

The verb of discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience. Mike Ditka said that Success isn’t measured by money or power or social rank. Success is measured by your discipline and inner peace. There is a quote that “There are hunters, and there are victims. By your discipline, cunning, obedience, and alertness, you will decide if you are a hunter or a victim.”

Discipline is the quality of a person who has succeeded in life. It keeps the person in control and paves the way for a successful and progressive life. Though if you have a high desire to achieve something in life, unless you have discipline you can’t achieve anything in life. You may implement anything with desire in life, but you can’t reach it without discipline. If you don’t have the quality of discipline, your life will become inactive and fail because success is nothing without discipline.

There are two types of discipline, the first one is induced discipline which is something that we learn from others, or it’s a learned behavior. It is learned by obedience to rules or punishment from others and the second one is self-discipline which comes from within us,
it is a sense of self-responsibility and desire to do consistently work on time, keeping priorities, denying some preferences, etc., to achieve something. Following your daily schedule and habits without skipping is also a discipline.

The meaning of discipline varies from person to person and from one stage of life to another stage of life. For children, its meaning is different, from the student perspective the meaning of discipline changes, for the employee discipline’s meaning is different though its meaning is different from person to person, the objective is to reach a destination or achieve something or complete a task.

Poems on Discipline:

Poem on Discipline by Vaishnavi Singh

“March on your toe,

with the head towards time;

Work with your hands,

with your heart looking at a time.

A second missed is time lost,

Never be late at any cost.

Different duty, different times,

But all sing the same rhyme.

Waiting to see one good scene

will wash out the upcoming ones

Towards discipline, if you learn,

will earn you the best ones.

Discipline is where the value of time exists,

Desire is a dream where discipline doesn’t exist.

Don’t confuse your mind now,

But do your work in time anyhow.”

Poem on Discipline by GEORGE HERBERT

Throw away thy rod,
Throw away thy wrath:
Oh my God,
Take the gentle path.

For my heart’s desire
Unto thine is bent:
I aspire
To a full consent.

Not a word or look
I affect to own,
But by book,
And thy book alone.

Though I fail, I weep:
Though I halt in pace,
Yet I creep
To the throne of grace.

Then let wrath remove;
Love will do the deed:
For with love
Stony hearts will bleed.

Love is swift of foot;
Love’s a man of war,
And can shoot,
And can hit from far.

Who can ’scape his bow?
That which wrought on thee,
Brought thee low,
Needs must work on me.

Throw away thy rod;
Though man frailties hath,
Thou art God:
Throw away thy wrath.

Poem on Discipline by Sanya

Discipline is the key to Gods door,
Only if we are disciplined our hearts can be pure.
Of all achievements, discipline is the great end,
Sincerity and receptiveness in our words we should blend
Conquer all the bad habits that surround
Then try to push them into the background.
Discipline truly furnishes the mind
Discipline in our character we should bind.
In life discipline plays the most important part,
Only if we are disciplined God will dwell in our hearts.
